This group offers the opportunity to learn a number of new skills either from an outside teacher or a U3a member. The cost will depend on the craft being taught.
12th May – Folk It Dotty Art – 10am -12 Noon
This is a fun and easy activity; no artistic ability is required. In just a few simple steps you can create a Hanging Heart and a Mount Board for a card.
Full instructions will be given so you can make pretty roses, hearts and delicate laces to name just a few, all out of dots and acrylic paint..
4th June – Felting – 1.30pm-5.30pm
This will involve making a flat piece of wet felt using Merino wool and silk embellishments.
Fibres are finely layered out, then rubbed and rolled with soapy water to felt the fibres together.
Once dry this fabric can be cut and sewn into a flower or more abstract brooch.
