At our genealogy meetings we discuss and share information for researching our family histories in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We seek to help each other to discover our heritage in a historic, social context as well as uncover family secrets that have been lost through time and circumstance.

Our ambition is to give life to many of our ancestors and develop friendships within the Group.
Meetings often start with a short presentation from a group member or a u3a members.

While some knowledge of researching your Ancestries is helpful it is not necessary for joining the Group.
We will guide you through the fundamentals and you will be an expert in no time whatsoever.

We ask members to become members of the library because we us there Wi-Fi and logon to the Online Library for use of Ancestry.co.uk as our principal research tool.
As a Group we are asked to pay towards the upkeep of the library and therefore we ask members to pay £10.00 annually, normally on joining.
