We are a social Pétanque group (perhaps more familiarly known as 'Boules' in England) who are not overly competitive and provide a friendly introduction for beginners. Everyone gets a game!

Pétanque is a healthy outdoor sport and sociable pastime played by all ages. It is simple to learn, fun to play and does not require any level of fitness. We welcome beginners and can provide some boules to help you get started.
No special clothing or footwear is required (although open-toed shoes are not recommended), just what is comfortable for an hour or two’s gentle exercise.

We play at our terrain at the Gaudet Luce Golf Club – next to the Club House. At the end of each session, members are encouraged to take a spot of lunch in the Club House, or at least a coffee or tea during the course of the morning. It’s a good time for additional socialising!
Note that Pétanque 1 is active throughout the year – weather permitting – although the main season is from 1st April to 30th September. Outside of these months we play a slightly different format.

If the weather conditions are poor then we retire to the Club House and take a view.
